AT&T Customer Service - Customer Service


Just wanted to say that I have cancelled my service with AT&T for 4 months now and still did not get my deposit of $500 back yet as they keep telling me that it has been sent out, but why haven't I received it yet?

I get put on the biggest run around whenever I call the customer service of AT&T! I mean who trained these people? I have worked in a customer service role before and from what I know some of the people do not even have manners in talking to people (at AT&T).

Anyways, I have been fighting to get my money back and still haven't received it. Aimlessly, I am calling their customer service department on a weekly basis and I keep getting the same story for hte past 4 months now!

What is one supposed to do in a situation like this?!

I have moved back to Canada and am still awaiting for my deposit....I should try and find out if I can get my money back with interest for the length of time that it has taken them.

Terrible billing department service.customer service.wish i get the number for manegment, so i can talk to them .

I too have had such horrible service with ATT, both with my online connections and with customer service. After switching from Verizen to ATT and canceling after 7 days due to SO many dropped calls and incomplete calls PLUS the fact that the bundle package "deal" I was promised when I switched "if" I got a land line phone in my name, brought my son on as a family member, etc etc, and then was not given once I completed all the "steps" that were required for this deal, well I went back to Verizen. BUT even tho my contract said I had 30 days to cancel, they have not refunded my money from merchandise returned, plus charged me for all sorts of things like "restocking fees" and then tried to charge me 258.00 for a month of service I never had (since I canceled, and even tho my bill was the minimal service and less than 40.00/ month). I finally got the monthly service bill taken care of, but to this day (8 weeks later) have not received my 178.00 refund on the items I returned when I canceled. This company should be investigated by the FCC!

In January of 2009 i bought the blackberry bold and was sold a substandard device. Surely the salesperson gave me a defective device.
After complaints to ATT, credits to my account and countless exchanges, i have not yet recovered the USD 600.00 i spent on the phone and its peripherals.
This has been the single largest waste of my money aside from the bad mattresses I bought from Sleepys.
Next up is the substandard reconditioned furniture i bought from Ashleys. They seem to think that customers want "REconditioned' furniture when they pay for new.
It's just amazing. However, what better time than now to start suing everyone. If company's can afford to charge consumers for horrible service, faulty devices and used reconditioned furniture, why should we even patronize them? I'm better off with morse code, carving my own trees and sleeping on blankets. Lets give the lawyers business, huh? These company's deserve it. Certainly, i've had enough.
